The Red Wing Shoes 8849 Classic Moc Toe in Black Prairie is a Classic Red Wing Shoes Mocassin style and is made in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Red Wing 6" Moc Toe boot was originally designed for hunters and farmers in the early 1950s. The name Red Wing ‘Moc Toe' derives from ‘Moccasin', the traditional Algonquian Native word for the U-shape design of the toe. The Red Wing Shoes 8849 comes in 'Black Prairie' leather which has a smooth and polished look. The Red Wing 8849 boot has a white Cushion Crepe Wedge outsole with Traction Tred and provides maximum grip and outstanding comfort. The Red Wing 8849 shoe has contrasting white stitching. The Red Wing 8849 originally come with black taslan round laces but try the gold/tan laces too.
